Yesterday I made Jake a birthday cake. After watching tutorials on simple frosting techniques that prevent the cake from looking too sloppy, I am somewhat proud of how this turned out.
*I apologize for my poor photography skills. The lighting in my apartment is awful and the flash ruins just about every photo.
For a simple decoration I put circle of wax paper in the center of the cake, and sprinkled sugar crystals around the sides.
